A: If your present hosting provider can no longer satisfy the requirements of your web site, or when you undergo frequent network downtime, or if you have to wait for hours for the client support staff to get back to you, it may be a good idea to change your hosting provider, i.e. to move all the files for your sites as well as your databases from your present provider to your future provider. At We Host WebZ, we are aware that this can often be difficult and time–consuming. For this reason, we’ll accomplish all that for you for free!Our practiced technical staff will transfer your website content from your current provider to us. Our technicians have lots of experience migrating web sites and can take care of everything – from a standard WordPress–based blog or Joomla^™–driven web site, to an extremely complex, custom–built application.

A: There are plenty of aspects to bear in mind – the overall number of files, the size of the database, the complexity of the web site itself and the present workload of our website migration professionals, etc. Still, we do our best to accomplish all web site migrations within a 48–hour period. Smaller websites are transferred much faster – usually within 24 hours.

A: We’ll need the login information for your current hosting provider’s Control Panel along with the web site’s name (domain name).

A: In order for us to begin the migration of your hosting account, you must first open an account with us. Opening an account with us will require that you to share more or less the same details you have provided to your previous web hosting provider. We’ve also got a very rigid Privacy Policy, which specifies how personal info is dealt with.

A: No. Your site will stay reachable online during the migration. Once everything is done on our end, we’ll tell you so that you can preview it and check for any problems. If everything’s OK, all you will need to do is modify your domain’s DNS records.

A: While we migrate your website content, your hosting provider will not be aware of the migration at all. We won’t get in touch with them in any way.

A: Yes. We support all conventional Linux–powered web hosting platforms. We don’t support Windows–based web hosting platforms, since we do not provide Windows web hosting services ourselves.Additionally, we do not support proprietary site creation and administration user interfaces like Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
